Common questions.
Which AI models do you recommend?
It depends on the workflow. For most content drafting, we recommend Claude (Anthropic) for its longer context handling and stronger editorial voice control. For high-volume short-form work, GPT-4-class models often have better cost-per-token. For specific domains, fine-tuned smaller models can outperform both. The architecture document specifies the model per workflow step with reasoning.
Will Google penalize us for using AI content?
Google's stated position is that AI-assisted content is fine if it's helpful and follows their quality guidelines. Pure AI-generated thin content at scale is what gets penalized. The architecture we design assumes humans remain in the loop for editorial review — it's faster human-assisted production, not unsupervised generation.
Can you build the integration for us?
No. Palmetto is a strategy and advisory consultancy — we design the architecture and write the spec; your engineering team or development vendor builds it. This is by design. The build is straightforward for any competent engineering team given a well-written spec, and keeping ownership with your team avoids vendor lock-in.
How long until we see ROI?
Depends on engagement scope. For a single-workflow integration (e.g., AI-assisted drafting), most teams see meaningful productivity gains within 60 days post-launch. ROI on the full investment typically lands in months 4-9 depending on content volume. The cost model in the deliverable shows your specific projection.
What if our quality bar is really high?
That's the right starting point. Most failed AI content programs are failed because teams lowered the quality bar to match what AI could produce, rather than designing the system to meet the existing bar. We start by stress-testing the architecture against your highest-quality existing articles. If the system can't match that bar with reasonable human oversight, we don't recommend deploying it.
